Zen Open Circle Zazenkai (Days of Zen Practice)
Time: 10am-3:30pm

The Zen Open Circle is a lively Australian Zen community. We meet at the Buddhist Library monthly throughout the year – coming together for sitting meditation (zazen), walking meditation (kinhin), interviews with our teacher (dokusan), koan practice, dharma talks and delicious shared meals.
Supported by Roshi Susan Murphy, we practice in the tradition of Robert Aitken and John Tarrant. We offer a creative but intensive practice opportunity – for everyone. We are all beginners in this tradition and welcome visitors. If you are visiting for the first time, please arrive a little earlier than the start time so that we can offer you an introduction and answer any questions you might have.
Each month our Zazenkai takes on a thematic focus and these themes are announced throughout the year.
